Once upon a time, I got assigned some sort of project for middle-school language arts class. We had to do an assignment based on the book “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton. My selection was to sit down and write a script based on the book. I’d never written a script before, or ever, but I gave it a shot. I got a B, but my teacher was impressed.

Because of his encouragement, I started to write scripts by hand, on college ruled paper, and I kept up with the intent of writing until one of the darkest days of American history came to be.

After 9/11, there was a haze of patriotic fervor, and I got caught up in it. I enlisted out of high school and became Airman Goodnight after 2 months of basic training. I felt I was going to do my part, stay in for 4 years, and use my educational benefits. But, then the Air Force started to promote me, and send me to cool and awesome places across the world. For 20 years I kept my dream of writing at bay because of my duty to my fellow Americans, and, once I hit retirement age, I pushed that button and started to get back into writing.

Here I am, in my final year from the Academy of Art University, ready and willing to take on the challenges of writing for an ever-changing landscape of storytelling.

In terms of story telling experience, I participated in several online tabletop RPG’s for an all-inclusive group of players. We work together to solve problems, tell a story involving the players and GM, and do our best entertain our audience across the world.
